Our 13 year old son can tell youall about current affairs in the world.
He can read a book in a day.  He can run like the wind.
He has a beautiful smile, an incredible dry sense of humor, a heart that is faithful to a fault.

He will not back down from an argument even if he knows he is wrong.  (This is bad)
He cannot spell worth a shit.

I can go on and on.  I am designed to ramble about his glorious attributes. 

7th grade is upon us, and I rememebr that grade.  That was the year I was invisible almost the entire year.  We went from elementary school to Junior high.  The elementary schools merged and somehow my friends from the old school just "found" their way to new friends.

I remember I ate lunch in the bathroom a few times when I couldnt find anyone to eat with.

When my girls were in 7th grade I was freaked out.  Worried.  But they were alright, easy it seemed.

My Jack is alright, he is a boy.  He is his fathers son.  Andy was a scrapper fighter and "trouble"
I dont think my Jack is trouble but oh he can be a scrapper.  More and more everyday.

Today he argued that the new rule about confiscating phones at school for two weeks if it is found in class or ringing.
He feels it is unjust and that is private property that should not be kept by the school.  on and on and on.
HE DOESNT USE A CELL PHONE!!!!!  He doesnt take it to school.  WHY DO YOU CARE!!!!!
Let it go Jack!!!
Stop arguing it!!
He wont.  He cant.  He said "It is wrong Mom."
"It is not your problem Jack, you dont have anything to do with these issues."
"It is wrong, there should be a better way to solve the problem than taking someones property."

OMG. I want to scream and yell at him, let it go, stop fighting the system.

This is a good character trait if he can hold it together and "fight" the right people the right way.
Help me, Help him God.

I am blessed and I treasure him.
Along with the other babes of mine.
As long as he doesnt have to spell anything.....

  It has been 75 days. When I went to bed at night I would cry, every night.  My Mom would begin the process of "bedtime" at least 30 minutes before I actually had to go to my room.  She would give me the countdown. "Next commercial break"  "Ten more minutes"  "Go get your last drink of water" Some nights she would begin to doze and I would squeeze another 10 minutes until the dreaded bed time.  When I was in High School my best friend was Amy.  I don't remember how we met or where, but somehow we just clicked.  I believe it was probably on the patio where in the 1980's you could go outside and smoke cigarettes with your friends on free mods or breaks.  Yep those were the days.   We were in 10th grade which made us 15.  I smoked Parliament light 100's  with the recessed filters (IYKYK) and she smoked Benson and Hedges.  She was a cheerleader that was so far from the "cheerleader" type it would crack us up.  We wrote notes in those days, scraps of paper that we would purge our daily trials onto, fold in some triangular football shape and pass to one another in the hall.  We could fill a note throughout the day and then I would throw it into a box for the ages to find someday.  We were able to talk endlessly about music, people, boyfriends, animals, school, college, parents, divorce, siblings, hours of chat.  We al...

 Lets talk about graduation parties!  Should I order the chicken scampi or marsala for the chicken dish?  Cakes and cupcakes or cookies?  DJ or photo booth or both? So we decorate the cake with Wyoming Seminary as a graduate or Penn State as his college destination? No, we wont talk about that.  You know, the "drophimoffandleavehimtherepart" or the "Ihaveabsolutelynopurposewithouthiminmydailygrind" lets not forget "Whenyoufoughttoliveforthisboyandnowheisgoingwhylive?"
