Remember "Summer Songs?"
Do you still have a summmer song? You know the song that just transports you back to a place and time of a hot summer day or night and a person or place. I had some real flashbacks the other night while goofing with the ole youtube. I thought I would share some with all of you. The first one I dodnt know what I was singing until I was a few years older and realizied what an "Afternoon delight " really was. I can see my Mom chuckling to herself as I sang as loud as a ten year old could "Sky rockets in flight... afternoon delight.!" well it still brings me back. Muskrat love. Captain and Tennille, yeah Im dating myself but I loved that song. Sadeyes. Oh a real summer song. 10 TONS OF DIRT ...
10 Tons of dirt or something to that nature. I am falling to sleep at night with visions of green grass and flowering fruit trees and a jungle gym. I dont have pics to post tonight but I can tell you that the yard of our dreams is closer now than it was a week ago. For those that havent been here I have to backtrack, the yard has been full of debris from the construction since it began. our builder turned into an as*&^% and just left and didnt come back with about ten percent of the work left to be done. May not sound like alot but when you have a beautiful house that just isnt quite done it can drive a person over the edge or close to it. So Andy has been fighting the piles of siding and trash and wood and concrete and more trash for about three months now. We would go out and PICK THROUGH THE PILE. Only to find more crap under neath the other pile of crap. To my surprise I looked out tonight and actually had a glimpse of what could be. We can seriously have a kick ass ya...
