Happy Andy.

Andy has been selling eyeglasses for four years now.  It has paid the bills and got us out of a pickle when his last job downsized and we desperately needed health coverage.
A few weeks ago I mentioned to Andy that he should just look on the internet for another job.  something that he would like, and still meet the needs of the Man of the house.
So just like every other night of the week we  sat in our bed, I was reading a book, he was on the internet and he said, "Boy this one is the perfect job for me, don't get your hopes up, but I'm going to apply."
It was with a company that sells building and construction supplies.
How much more Andy can you get than that?!
He applied and I was afraid to ask, but about a week later I mentioned, "no news for the Co?"
"Nah, its a really great opportunity, I wasn't really getting my hopes up."
I felt bad.
A day later right before Christmas he got an email.
They wanted to meet him in Philadelphia for an interview.
He was so excited, he googled EVERYTHING about the company, the products, the history of the company.  He was so prepared.
He left early and was looking sharp.
The interview was scheduled strictly to an hour.  He had all his ducks in a row.
He brought a map of the territory, where we live, the territories he has covered inthe past.
He was "shining"
He called immediately after and was glowing through the phone.
Feeling the interview went really well, but still doubtful he would ever get on board with such a company.
They emailed him a week later.. ( along week)
They wanted to meet him for a second interview in Baltimore, between Christmas and New Years.
He jumped at the chance.
Now if you know Andy, he is not the type to quit, or ease off of much.
He becomes consumed with his plans and drive.
Truth be told I think I was quite well versed inthe CO. by the time the second interview came around.
He left the night before, drove to Baltimore and interviewed at 8:30 the next morning.
I was praying all day.  That he would take it easy on himself if it didn't turn out, but more that he would get the job of his dreams.
He called at 1:30 that afternoon.  The interview went for 5 hours!!!
He toured the headquarters, met alot of staff, management, and Presidents, Vice Presidents.
He was certainly in his element.
The guy that would be his boss asked if he and his family were willing to relocate if the opportunity for advancement arose?  To the NY, NJ or Boston areas?
Andy answered, with the standard "I would have to discuss with my wife but I know she supports me 100%"
back to that in a bit.
He came home with a crazy cold, and hit the sheets.  He was so THOUGHT out and excited, he just needed to rest.
A week later the email came.
He was offered the job.
He cried.  dont tell him I told you this but three times in my life.
Jack being born, Karens funeral, and THIS NEW JOB!
He is so happy and excited to work this job.   He loves the products and will be back with a gang of construction crews and hardware guys.  LOOKOUT NY, NJ and PA, here comes ANDY T!!!
Now, here is the kicker.
We married with the pretense he would be on the road alot.  He changed jobs and we adjusted to his being home everynight.
We almost didnt make that.
Now we go back to his being on the road.
I am used to him being here, I kind of like him.  He makes me laugh, everynight.
But a few nights a week of quiet, big bed, on my own time schedule??? well.. ITS ALL GOOOOOD!!!!!
He starts the new job next week.  Leaves on Sunday for Baltimore, will be back on Thursday.
I will not be working as much, so I can be available for Jack, whatever comes up/.
The idea of a move?  Well, that is a down the road, when other territories open up, with potential to make more money.
NJ, where I'm originally from.  WOW.  I would go down the shore, monmouth co.
NY- Hudson River valley, just beautiful.
Mass, so sweet quaint town around Boston.
But Forty Fort... just like Andy... I've grown accustomed to.
I feel we have just gotten into a groove here.
ahhh.  who knows what two or three years will bring.
I'm happy, my guy is happy.
Happy wife, happy life.  Happy Andy, We all sleep better.  hahahahah
For those of you that knew, thank you for the prayers and best wishes for the new job.
We are all excited, and so blessed.
Summer is on my mind tonight....
Andy will be on the road, I will be home with the boy, We will be at the FF pool!!!!

C'mon sunshine!!!!!
