Missigirl
I posted a few songs that are important to me concerning my Missi girl.
To show you how quick the time has gone since my Missi came into this world. The song Tears in heaven came out the week she was born. I remember she was sick when she was born and was transported to CMC from East Stroudsburg for the nearest NICU. I had to remain in PMC since I was spiking a temp following the c section. I only saw her for a moment and touched her little hand through the incubator glass. Tim followed behind the ambulance, and my Dad met her in Scranton. My Mom remained at our home with Allie who was barely two.
I remember calling the nicu and asking the nurses how she was. "She is a fighter and should be off the ventilator before too long." "She is itty bitty but a tough little thing"
She stayed there for a 8 days and then we brought her home. She weighed 5 pounds that day. As much as a sack of sugar. I think of that when I buy sugar to this day. I remember being in the drive through line at the bank. My itty bitty and allie in the minivan I drove, when this song came on. I cried so hard the teller couldnt understand what I was saying. I found out at that time that I was lucky to have her.
Another song I chose about the Bitty is rainbow connection. She sang that song in kindergarten. All by herself, the smallest one there with the biggest blue eyes sang like an angel. "The lovers, the dreamers, and me."
She sang Shiny happy people all the time in the car. All the time at home, in the bathroom. She was such an imaginative child. She would talk to little creatures all the time. ants, bugs, imaginary creatures. Then she started collecting the creatures. Anything little. people, puppies, marbles, dinosaurs, POKEMON'.
Pokemon' Gotta catch em all.
This is the start of her art work. She would draw Pokemon and cut them out and stick then all over her room. slips of paper. little flip books, cards, anything with little "things"
Fields of gold obviously since she sang that song at the senior concert. Most beautifully. So little but SO LARGE.
Hey there Delila, she loves this song, she played it over and over again. She is our Delila going to college in six days.
She has always just been here with me. In another room but always here.
I yell up the stairs "MISSI!?"
"MISSI?!"
"whaaattttt"
"WHHAAAAATTTT MOOOOM!"
"love you"
"thats all"
"Oh, ok love you too ma."
She will be 80 minutes away, as usual Andy is telling me he can get me there in less than 55. I am sure he can.
But can he put her back in her room, in front of the computer drawing?
No- He cant, Because my Missi is growing up and life is not here anymore. Its OUT THERE- Out there is where her talent as an artist will be seen and admired and needed for childrens books, and movies, television.
She will find her way-my beautiful little honeybee.
