Im ok, yes Im alright.....
I am not much of a talker, I am a writer.
So those thoughts that everyone has and divulges to that one person that they trust, well I hold it in then put it out there for blogdom.
Good, bad whatever it is out and I usually feel better.
Today , I feel better.
Spent the day with my boy and he was excellent.
truly the best.
Went to school this am and got a good report.
We found a frog in the yard and made it a habitat in a huge mason jar. He named it "Jackie, a girl frog"
Not just jackie but the whole thing, jackie a girl frog.
We went to the library he was great.
He had to sign his name for the first time officially. He signed with some assistance. He is a library card holder, a true American!!!
So for posterity, July 20 2010 Jack J T put his signature to paper, it will be a collectible someday-mark my words.
He carried his notebook with him today marking off the list the things we got done.
Bank-check
Nana's- check
Library- check
Chicken and fries from BK-check
Pick up Mommy's glasses- Nope tommorrow.
Park playground with the big tires-check
Back to nana's- check.
Is Jackie the girl frog still alive-check
Now we are waiting for Daddy to get home so I can share some gratitude and humility.
I have been known to be dramatic, feel free to scold me at any time.
No excuses really. Just life and its ups and downs.
Went to the gym this am and watched an old man creep along on the treadmill. I feared for his safety.
I anticipated his momentous crash to the floor and feared a broken hip.
He stopped the treadmill at one point and tried to tie his shoes. I went over and offered help , he refused.
I said "please let me help you, It would be my good deed for the day!?"
I looked him in the eyes and smiled, He agreed. As I tied his shoe I realized he hadnt tied them in the first place, they were tangled and stuffed into his shoes.
The other shoe was perfectly tied and neat and tidy.
You want to know why?
It was a prosthetic leg.
Knee down amputation. He was relearning to walk with his prosthesis.
He was an old man. Creeping along the treadmill and swinging a fake leg from a stump of a knee.
I am whining away 44 as I trod my way through a few miles in the morning.
Time for an attitude adjustment Suzie.
I am lucky to be here.
I am fortunate to have so many people that love me unconditionally.
I decided to take a few weeks off from work because my boy and girls need me right now, and my HUSBAND allows me that flexibility by working harder to make up the difference.
I have friends that will answer my calls, I have an exhusband that officially "kinda likes me again".
I can walk, think, reason and hop on a plane someday soon to see my niece, and on my way back I may stop to see nephew.
I will be cranky and whiney again soon, real soon I promise you that.
I will most likely have a good reason too.
But I have no reason to lose hope or feel helpless.
That IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.
Love you all Thank you for knowing I snap back.
