Yes, that is the sun.....

I woke this morning as I do most every morning. Our son wrestles the doorknob a bit and swings the door wide open and anounces "The sun is up Mommy its TIIIIMMMME!"
Andy and I are well aware of what time it is- It is DAYTIME!!!!
Yes for Jack Daytime is a new start. Fresh bright full of possibilities. His joyful chatter about blankets, kitty cats, getting into bed with us "IN DA MIDDLE Mom" As both Andy and I move to our perspective sides of the bed to let the whirling blonde hair and race car jammies find his fumfy schpott. (comfy spot, for those of you that do not speak Jackanese) There must be room for the kitty and blanket in order to achieve full fumfy potential.
Then jack will lie there between us and be quiet. My eyes are usually closed but I face him. Since we have not come to a place to cover the windows in our bedroom the morning sun pours in and lands directly on our bed by 730. I can open my eyes and see his face, all round and clear. His eyes wide and gleaming in the sunlight. He slides his feet between my knees to warm them and his hands are usually on my face.
Open your eyes mommy, It is DAYTIME!!!
We sometimes chat a bit, this moring we sang the "I missed you Mommy when it was dark song."
Yes that is a song here, then I respond in chorus "I missed you Jack when it was dark" "But now it is sunny and we are snuggly fumfy in Mommy and Daddys bed"
After a little chat time and singalong we decide to "invite" Daddy in on the fun.
"roll over Daddy, I see your face"
This morning jack told his Daddy that he was "So CUUUTE< Daddy"
Not long after the chit chat we will talk about whether we have school today, Does Mommy have work, Where is Daddy going, can we watch Jack shows now? Where is Yaya, Is CiCi sleeping? How bout some milk Mommy, Jacks Hooooungreeee" as he rubs his belly.
The morning sun is a pleasant waking feeling,
But truly Our Morning SON is a reason to greet the day with optimism and gratitude.
Thanks Jack, You are my fumfy place.
(C'mon you knew that was comfy didnt you?)

You need to write a book. Seriously. I'm not going to stop bugging until you do.
