Yes I like.

Something on my mind and I need to vent.
Andy and I have friends that seem to have more money to spend than we have rocks in the yard. Believe me we have lots and lots of rocks.
The couple have been friends of ours for many years and I have always loved them both and have cherished their friendship. I am finding it harder and harder to maintain the friendship. Friendships shouldnt need maintenance. Should they? I know the obstacles are there but they shouldnt be so daunting if there was a true friendship there. Hmm? Is this my envy blood kicking in.? I enjoy their company laugh alot when we are with them but then feel as if we have so few things in common anymore that our goals are not the same.
I have and remain a home body. I like being here. I would like very much to get away with my husband for a well deserved vacation but with the house and kids and everything else it is not in our near future. They just returned from a Mexican 5 day jaunt with their friends the Dr and his lovely wife. (SARCASM THERE FOLKS)
We are not the Dr and lovely wife. We are the beer on the porch, burgers on the grill, Andy and Suzie.
What am I getting at? I dont know.
Do I want a vacation with my husband to just lay back enjoy the sun, drink margarita's and dance the night away. YES I LIKE.
We had a lovely weekend last weekend in the yard with the boy. We were happy, all was quiet worked well and no problems.
But I must admit there are times when the idea of Andy and Suzie diggin toes in the sand or visiting a museum, or sitting for a three hour dinner with NICE people seems
APPEALING.
I will get over saltiness in an hour or so and go back to being plain old suzie in jeans and sweatshirt. I will be happy to have a wonderful loving family, money to spend on groceries whenever I want and enough friends to call if I need a date to Barnes and Noble.
I just hope that someday in the not too distant future, I can turn to my generous handsome hard working husband and say
"Babe is the sun too hot or would you rather sit under the banana tree?"
Its a good thing.
