Some pics from Florida. After chatting with my big brother tonight he let me know how much he enjoys the blog and especially the pictures. I have no problem posting more since truly I have hundreds. Missi doesnt know how beautiful she is and The kids together dont realize that they are our hope and pride and future rolled into seven totally different people.
Allie the oldest is the heir apparent in the kid kingdom. She has leadership skills if only leading the gang tot he game room or for a walk somewhere.
Danny the oldest grandson is a strong silent and courageous young man. My brother Dan has led him in a direction to be all that he could be and be honorable. When my brother should be reveling in his sons bravery and manhood, he is sadly living out his second childhood I am afraid. Danny Jr is the man of the house and is taking care of his mom and Ben. Whether people want to accept it or not life is hard without the Dad around and I can just imagine young Dannys anger and disappointment at this time with his Dad.
Kaleigh- strong willed, smart, really smart beautiful, well spoken and truly a child of God. She is a committed and devout Christian. She is not ashamed of her faith but doesnt splash any opinions unless you ask her. A wicked sharp mind with an ever sharper keen sense of caring and sensitivity.
Missi= Differernt from the rest. edgy, sometimes distant but other times loving and attached. She I believe just isnt afraid to be out of the loop. She never was in a loop unless she created it. She and Dan sem to have the closest relationship outof the gang of them. I think the family finds her a little shocking at times becasue of her shameless approach to individuality.
Lauren- Quiet, watchful, dramtic and I beleive going to give her parents a run fot ehir money. i watched her and saw the eye rolling and huffing at commentary. I also found her to be incredibly imaginiative, commentary on strangers as they walked by as she spoke in dialect and drawl. Laugh my head off/
Ben- My father would absolutely love to see this boy right now. He is sass and vinegar and roughian and all boy. He has a devilish grin and sly laugh. I know they are having problems with him with fighting at school and anger issues iwth my brother leaving the house I pray every night for Ben. He is going to be difficult to raise without a dad in the home. Beautiful affectionate boy though screaming for attention from his dad.
Jack- The great white hope, Saved my life once then did it again when my Dad died. If not for Jack my Mom and daughters and I would have fallen further off the grid. he has provided daily love and laughter and everyday that goes by I find myself talking to air," Did you see that Pop, that lil bugger is so .... YOU."
He is mischevious, gentle, loving, wild, independent, self willed and absolutely charming. Cant help but love the beautiful boy.
Yeah I know count them everyday because I will look back on this day and wish it were here again.
Thank you God for today and my beautiful healthy family. Give us courage and peace, Giv me patience and stamina. Allow me to see the good in people and to find a little more sensitivity for those people that love me everyday. I will try to keep my goals in sight and chip away at my shortcomings if you promise to keep my family healthy and happy.

  It has been 75 days. When I went to bed at night I would cry, every night.  My Mom would begin the process of "bedtime" at least 30 minutes before I actually had to go to my room.  She would give me the countdown. "Next commercial break"  "Ten more minutes"  "Go get your last drink of water" Some nights she would begin to doze and I would squeeze another 10 minutes until the dreaded bed time.  When I was in High School my best friend was Amy.  I don't remember how we met or where, but somehow we just clicked.  I believe it was probably on the patio where in the 1980's you could go outside and smoke cigarettes with your friends on free mods or breaks.  Yep those were the days.   We were in 10th grade which made us 15.  I smoked Parliament light 100's  with the recessed filters (IYKYK) and she smoked Benson and Hedges.  She was a cheerleader that was so far from the "cheerleader" type it would crack us up.  We wrote notes in those days, scraps of paper that we would purge our daily trials onto, fold in some triangular football shape and pass to one another in the hall.  We could fill a note throughout the day and then I would throw it into a box for the ages to find someday.  We were able to talk endlessly about music, people, boyfriends, animals, school, college, parents, divorce, siblings, hours of chat.  We al...

 Lets talk about graduation parties!  Should I order the chicken scampi or marsala for the chicken dish?  Cakes and cupcakes or cookies?  DJ or photo booth or both? So we decorate the cake with Wyoming Seminary as a graduate or Penn State as his college destination? No, we wont talk about that.  You know, the "drophimoffandleavehimtherepart" or the "Ihaveabsolutelynopurposewithouthiminmydailygrind" lets not forget "Whenyoufoughttoliveforthisboyandnowheisgoingwhylive?" OK OK I'm not going to end my life because Jack is leaving for college, but for christs sake what the fuck is my purpose now?  I am struggling, struggling with so many things right now.
