Rainy day and loving it.

Today is one of those days when it rains and I am fortunate to not have to work and I am hanging with my slippers and the remote and the boy and all is well. My Mom came today to stay for a few days since ANdy is away for the week. I know she is lonely since we moved and I am looking forward to her selling her place and being closer to us.
The kids are all good and all have fine weekends. Andy's birthday was Sunday so I made a from scratch chocolate mint layer cake and shrimp scampi for dinner. He was pleased. He is forty one and I think looks better than ever. He is getting the grey around the ears in his hair and smile lines around his eyes but I love it. I think it makes him look happy.
I am so anticipating the end of project runway this week, yes I am a junkie of reality tv. can not help it/
Working on bits and pieces of the house and it is definately coming along. I am liking it more than not liking it so that is good.
My brother Dave reads my log so I now he will see this entry so in response to your note:
I love you more than I can say. I cant imagine my life without you or any of the other "characters" mom and dad molded.
I feel the same that if I can help take care of Mom and keep her happy than I am doing what we all promised in those last few minutes.
I realize the events leading to Dads death were not actually my fault but I do have as Im sure every one does the "what if's"?
Asked the right question at the right time, kind of thing.
I spoke to Rick last night and just as you said you botyh have alot of anger concerning the obvious screw ups/ He really wants me to send the case to one more lawyer so I of course am doing it. I spoke to mom and she said if that is what Rick needs then do it. I knew you would agree so I am sending it to Philly next Monday to a lawyer out of the proverbial "loop" of the valley.
This is it though because our two years is just about up.
I feel anger, sadness, disgust, guilt. all the time. I hope that the end of the emotional rollercoaster will be with this last set of go arounds.
Anyhtiong new or remarkable I will let you all know.

Last note of the day today I will enclose a photo from the gilrs and Jack I dont know which ones or what from but something different. Peolep seem to like the pics.

  It has been 75 days. When I went to bed at night I would cry, every night.  My Mom would begin the process of "bedtime" at least 30 minutes before I actually had to go to my room.  She would give me the countdown. "Next commercial break"  "Ten more minutes"  "Go get your last drink of water" Some nights she would begin to doze and I would squeeze another 10 minutes until the dreaded bed time.  When I was in High School my best friend was Amy.  I don't remember how we met or where, but somehow we just clicked.  I believe it was probably on the patio where in the 1980's you could go outside and smoke cigarettes with your friends on free mods or breaks.  Yep those were the days.   We were in 10th grade which made us 15.  I smoked Parliament light 100's  with the recessed filters (IYKYK) and she smoked Benson and Hedges.  She was a cheerleader that was so far from the "cheerleader" type it would crack us up.  We wrote notes in those days, scraps of paper that we would purge our daily trials onto, fold in some triangular football shape and pass to one another in the hall.  We could fill a note throughout the day and then I would throw it into a box for the ages to find someday.  We were able to talk endlessly about music, people, boyfriends, animals, school, college, parents, divorce, siblings, hours of chat.  We al...

 Lets talk about graduation parties!  Should I order the chicken scampi or marsala for the chicken dish?  Cakes and cupcakes or cookies?  DJ or photo booth or both? So we decorate the cake with Wyoming Seminary as a graduate or Penn State as his college destination? No, we wont talk about that.  You know, the "drophimoffandleavehimtherepart" or the "Ihaveabsolutelynopurposewithouthiminmydailygrind" lets not forget "Whenyoufoughttoliveforthisboyandnowheisgoingwhylive?"
