Birthday thanksgivings... or thanksgiving birthdays!?

My baby Missi was sweet sixteen on Tuesday, with all the excitement with the holiday on its way I didnt get to post with the appropriate excitement.
Missi is 16. We had picked up Allie Tuesday for the holiday at home and they enjoyed the afternoon together. We enjoyed cupcakes and pizza and sang happy to you. We are now in the plan mode for her party on Saturday night with her girls. First a trip to the skating rink (ice skating) then a sleepover poker night with the gals. I will be posting some pics from the week with my brother and nephews and family stuff.
My nephew was eighteen on Thursday and we went to his other grandmas for pizza and cake on Wed. I have pics of all of that too.
The there is Thanksgiving and it was a nice day as well. I did some of my best cooking and baking this year. I have planned on cooking for this holiday with hopes of the new house but to no avail as of yet. WE WILL BE THERE FOR CHRISTMAS.
I made a green bean casserole, candied carrots, mince meat pie, apple pie, cherry upside down cake.
We had a good day.
Without sounding like a mope, I missed my Dad. I know I should be over this grief or at least better, I think I am better but I cant help but miss my Dad. My nephew had his senior pics and he is so terribly handsome. truly a beautiful boy. uurrggh MAN.
My father was so proud of him, an Eagle scout at 15, accomplished drummer and an all around good kid. Good hearted, Good spirited, gentle, funny. handsome.
My father loved him and was just getting to know him as a young man. I am so sorry my nephews didnt get a chance to know their Pop when they were men. Nothing better for young man to know a grandfather with excellent life experience.
My son wont know his Pop either. Im sad for all of them
My nephew Ben is a whole nother story....
He is hysterically funny, charming tough, and is going to be a frat brother football dimpled lady killer. He is only 8 at the moment but he has heart throb written allover him. You will see Ben in the pics I am enclosing.
Jack has been a good boy, busy with all the kids and family ove the holdiay bit a good boy.
Andy has been on a big push for the house this week because he is going to be away next week. Tuesday through Sunday.
Alli has been home since Tuesady and going back on Sunday til the 13th of Dec for winter break. Im going to miss her. I must say Missi and I have gotten sooo much closer without Allie here. I think I a have more time for her and we just click lately. I admire her so much.
I will write again later. Thanks to all of you for writing concerning my latest uproar concerning the "wicked one" I appreciate your notes of encouragement and really do know that I have some great friends.

  It has been 75 days. When I went to bed at night I would cry, every night.  My Mom would begin the process of "bedtime" at least 30 minutes before I actually had to go to my room.  She would give me the countdown.  When I was in High School my best friend was Amy.  I don't remember how we met or where, but somehow we just clicked.  I believe it was probably on the patio where in the 1980's you could go outside and smoke cigarettes with your friends on free mods or breaks.  Yep those were the days.   We were in 10th grade which made us 15.  I smoked Parliament light 100's  with the recessed filters (IYKYK) and she smoked Benson and Hedges.  She was a cheerleader that was so far from the "cheerleader" type it would crack us up.  We wrote notes in those days, scraps of paper that we would purge our daily trials onto, fold in some triangular football shape and pass to one another in the hall.  We could fill a note throughout the day and then I would throw it into a box for the ages to find someday.  We were able to talk endlessly about music, people, boyfriends, animals, school, college, parents, divorce, siblings, hours of chat.  We al...

 Lets talk about graduation parties!  Should I order the chicken scampi or marsala for the chicken dish?  Cakes and cupcakes or cookies?  DJ or photo booth or both? So we decorate the cake with Wyoming Seminary as a graduate or Penn State as his college destination? No, we wont talk about that.  You know, the "drophimoffandleavehimtherepart" or the "Ihaveabsolutelynopurposewithouthiminmydailygrind" lets not forget "Whenyoufoughttoliveforthisboyandnowheisgoingwhylive?" OK OK I'm not going to end my life because Jack is leaving for college, but for christs sake what the fuck is my purpose now?  I am struggling, struggling with so many things right now.
