Our new house is now up to the first floor. That means that the walls are up on the first floor and windows obviously cut out and doors cut out. Andy and I stood on the first floor and looked out to the view we will have. It is really awesome. We worked hard to decide which side to put the porch on and it worked out beautiful. We can see the river and the banks for the river. There is a landscaping business up the road and it is great. A little too convenient for the plant buying- but I guess it is a blessing.
We cant decide if the exterior should be blue or yellow. Of course I am the yellow and he is the blue. How about yellow with blue trim?
Anyway I have always wanted to build a house and here it is. We havent actually had any fights over anything yet but we are just gettting started. LOL The kitchen is an unusual shape. This is because we added two and ahalf feet to the length and I am now hoping we did the right thing when we stood there tonight it felt awkward. We will see. I have so many different ideas I cant wait to get them to the builder.
All else is good. The boy had a wicked cold and it went to his eyes. all runny and gooky. Allie is in her last weeks of HS. The parties are starting and I just hope we get through the season without any accidents or tickets. Or citations.
Missi went out on her second date last night with the same boy from last weekend. She said he is a nerd mom. I asked if he was nice to her and she smiled and said yes. All is well in Missi world.
Andy has been on th road this week and now will be away again this coming week. I know he misses us but we dont get that married get on eachothers nerves thing. It is a good thing I think.

PS Happy Birthday to my friend Ruby. An unlikely character in the scheme of things but I am really happy to call her my friend. A beautiful year to her and her adorable girls. She deserves some lightness and goodness in her life so that is my wish for her.

  It has been 75 days. When I went to bed at night I would cry, every night.  My Mom would begin the process of "bedtime" at least 30 minutes before I actually had to go to my room.  She would give me the countdown.  When I was in High School my best friend was Amy.  I don't remember how we met or where, but somehow we just clicked.  I believe it was probably on the patio where in the 1980's you could go outside and smoke cigarettes with your friends on free mods or breaks.  Yep those were the days.   We were in 10th grade which made us 15.  I smoked Parliament light 100's  with the recessed filters (IYKYK) and she smoked Benson and Hedges.  She was a cheerleader that was so far from the "cheerleader" type it would crack us up.  We wrote notes in those days, scraps of paper that we would purge our daily trials onto, fold in some triangular football shape and pass to one another in the hall.  We could fill a note throughout the day and then I would throw it into a box for the ages to find someday.  We were able to talk endlessly about music, people, boyfriends, animals, school, college, parents, divorce, siblings, hours of chat.  We al...

 Lets talk about graduation parties!  Should I order the chicken scampi or marsala for the chicken dish?  Cakes and cupcakes or cookies?  DJ or photo booth or both? So we decorate the cake with Wyoming Seminary as a graduate or Penn State as his college destination? No, we wont talk about that.  You know, the "drophimoffandleavehimtherepart" or the "Ihaveabsolutelynopurposewithouthiminmydailygrind" lets not forget "Whenyoufoughttoliveforthisboyandnowheisgoingwhylive?"
