quiet is good.
Not very much going on here. I have gone to the gym everyday this week and three days last. It truly does make you feel better and I am glad when it is over. I am going to a pilates class tonight. I went to yoga on Monday night and got the surprise of a lifetime. ( not really, but..) My mat partner. Yes we share large mats that are interconnected, was about three hundred pound man with a bright red face and beautiful smile. I was a little anxious about doing these unusual contortions with him on the same mat because we all know how bashful I am. (Not really) The woman who runs the class came in and lovely slow voice. comforting. My neighbor Bill said. "She seems sweet right wait 70 minutes you'll hate her." hmmm I thought this was rel;axing yoga.? He chuckled. "Yeah the last ten minutes are relaxing the other 60 are sweaty stressful painful stretching for big people like us." (US I AM NOT AN US) (AM I THAT FAT NO WAY ILL SHOW YOU BIG BOY< I HAVE A FEW POUNDS BUT ILL YOGA YOU INTO THE GROUND!)
Big Boy Bill yoga'd me to death.
He shamed me.
Big Boy Bill can crescent and warrior pose cat and cow like no bodies business.
As I stood on the mat with my glasses on for 5 minutes he said "take them off before they fall off'
True they were sliding off my face from the sweat.
sneakers off, socks off. As we turned and twisted and held our poses and most of all breathed, Bill smiled and encouraged me.
Poor Suzie. Big Bill is yoga king and will share a mat with him anytime.
When class was over and we laid on the mat breathing and praying Ill get up again. It was nice.
we chatted after class. He asked if I was the one on PBS about heart disease. yup. shyly cuz I am ashamed.
He told me how great I was on the show and smart and an inspiration to him. Turns out he has heart disease as well, and has lost 100 pounds with diet and exercise. We exchanged stories and we agreed to hang in there. I have 50 pounds to lose. He has over 100. I need to be grateful.
I went yesterday on the treadmill. I will go again tonight.
I wan to live. I have alot to live for.
