a few of my favorite things.

I received alot of nice things this holiday season. I am posting some pics of my favorite things. My inlaws came over last night and we exchanged gifts. They have always been very generous to me and the girls even though they are not their biological grandchildren. Jack is the apple of their eyes though. They brought thoughtful gifts for the girls and Andy and I. My father in law is an avid collector as am I. I love antiques and the history behind any piece of furniture, jewelry, china, literature, anything old. He knows this and brought me a wonderful gift. It is an antique rocker built in 1830. The chair is so comfortable I cannnot put into words. It seems to fit my body perfectly. There is not a single squeak and my feet touch the floor perfectly for a rocker. It is painted blue with natural oak arms. I absolutlely adore it and cant wait to rock our boy in it tonight. I sat there before and just imagined the Mothers before me for generations rocking their babies that are long gone. Sounds like a basis for a great book?

Andy got me a beautiful charm bracelet. David Yerman (sp.) It is platinum and whit and yellow gold. The charms are for each of the childrens birthstone and a heart and eternity circle with diamonds. so beautiful I will cherish it.

A photo of my darling napping on the couch. He is growing a beard and I just need to bite him! As you can see the grey is coming in and looks incredibly sexy. My vincent Donofrio lookalike.

The last pic of roses I picked up the other day. Amazingly more beautiful every day that goes by. they began a gentle yellow and as they open the red and pink edges are startling. I talk to them as often as possible, Andy laughs and talks dirty to them and they perk right up! Anyway they are great.
The final gift I will mention is a blanket Allie got for me. It is a chenille, knitted throw green that is already on the bed and I adore it. Mostly because she worked for the money herself and chose it for me on her own, It could have been a bag of anything and I would love it as i do her.
